*the morning had started as it always seemed to at Hogwarts*
*the sun rose and slowly the students began to pull themselves from the comforts of their beds*
*among the early risers was seventh year prefect arianne creevey*
*she always woke early to get a hot shower in before the rest of the girls rose*
*and it seemed to pay off nicely*
*after which she would crawl back into her four poster bed and wait a little while*
*today however she decided to break the routine morning activities*
*instead after her early shower she donned her robes and pinned on her prefect badge*
*it was one of the things she took great pride in and her father always teased her about*
*of course it was always done in good fun, for dennis would never hurt his eldest*
*once she was convinced her badge was on straight she slid out of the dormitory and began her ascent through the castle*
*she reached the entrance hall and slipped into the great hall to eat a little breakfast*
*the hufflepuff table appeared to be empty from her position at the door*
*staying inside was now no longer an options*
*she hurried to the table and grabbed a banana nut muffin and a glass of juice*
*she transfigured the glass into a bottle and headed out of the hall once more*
*the only place she felt as comfortable as in her room, was beside the lake*
*she wrapped her muffin in the napkin she had grabbed at the last minute and headed out the oak doors*
*stepping outside she was greeted by the refreshing breeze and smell of flowers blooming*
*being outdoors was like being home to her*
*the beauty of it all was breath taking and it always made for wonderful photos*
*speaking of which*
*she fingered the camera placed around her neck, her father had bought for her for her birthday*
*he always wanted her to retain her muggle roots and thus the camera was produced*
*reaching the bank of the black lake she perched on the edge and fell back onto her behind*
*she laughed softly at herself and ran a hand through her hair*
*as she gazed out at the sparkling lake she began to nibble on her muffin*
*it was halfway through when she spotted a bird skimming along the lake's surface*
*immediately the camera found its way to her face and she began snapping photos*
*this was one of those photographs that spoke 1000 words and she hoped she had done it justice*
*lowering the camera she returned to her breakfast and gazing*
